PR FIRM SERVICE
Press releases submitted by PR Firms do not require approval, however, we do verify each PR Firm application before we approve it. We perform PR Firm checks through independent sources to make sure the individual applying for a PR Firm account does indeed belong to a PR Firm and is authorized and qualified to submit press releases on the company's behalf. Furthermore, press releases submitted to us by PR Firms are automatically submitted to our Professional Press Releases (Pro Prs) section, which also has its own RSS Feed. PR Firm free releases will appear underneath the paid releases, but "above the fold" before the non PR Firm free releases. PR Firms can submit free press releases on behalf of their clients and can also add financial contributions to a press release to have it listed higher on the main front page and Pro Prs front page. The releases submitted by PR Firms can also contain special characters, images and html tags. Because PR Firms get several perks, we do require an annual subscription fee of $500 for companies to obtain PR Firm status with The Open Press, Inc. A paypal link will be sent to you once you've been approved to submit payment.

PRESS RELEASE W/ STARS
Includes HTML formatting. Press Releases with Stars will also be added to our PRO PR's Section which has its own RSS feed. They will be ranked higher on the website, above PR Firm free releases and other free releases or "above the fold." Minimum contribution is $10. This release will get more exposure and is a very cost effective way to market your news.
--Each star added to your release is $10.
--Press Release with Professional Editing is $50 and will have 5 stars once it is published.
--Because we add tags manually, if you need more than 5 html tags created for you, you must contribute $20 to your release. 2 stars will be on your release.
--The press release with the most stars will appear at the top of the page and will be seen first by visitors.
--Photos can be added to the body of your release. Photos must be emailed separately if they are not formatted into the release upon submission. Because we have to manually upload and format photos, a $20 contribution is required for photo placement.
Press releases in our Pro PR section (paid and PR Firm submissions) will remain on the site for one year.
SAME DAY OR SPECIAL SERVICES
All Press Releases are posted at Midnight EST following your submission date unless a specific date is listed in the body of the release. If you need same day or expedited service, there is a $50 service fee. Please choose the press release with stars option and contribute $50 with EXPEDITED SERVICE in the body of the release. If you have a request for a specific time, please specify the time in the body of the release, (for example - TIME SENSITIVE MUST BE OUT AT **:** TIME) and with your paypal payment. There is a $50 service fee for time specific releases.

-Standard article or Op-Ed is $10
If you want live web links in your article, html can be added by us. Just use a standard link ie: www.weblink.com and we will add the code.

BOOK REVIEWS
The Book Review section offers a place for authors and publishers alike to promote their books. Listing a book may provide a great chance of exposure and notice when readers use search engines. By having a review published, authors also can include more information that wouldn't be found on other sites. Include an author's bio or a short excerpt to give potential readers that extra incentive to buy your work. There are millions of books available online, let us help them find that diamond in the rough. The $20 service includes cover art, 1000 words of space to write a description or review and will automatically create a link to Amazon.com . The small featured book area has the top five books with the most stars. The others can be accessed from searching by keywords or genre. More stars can be added for just $10 each.
ADVERTISING
Advertising on The Open Press is very easy. We have implemented our own proprietary Text-Ad system throughout the site. Ads are displayed at random on our website. We do not have any kind of graphical ads on our site at this time but we do reserve an empty spot between the tab menus (left of the typewriter) where a standard graphical ad can be placed ONLY if that spot is purchased and paid for in advance. The cost for that spot is $10,000 per year or $5,000 for six months. The ad must be 468 wide x 60 high pixels in size. The ad will run 24/7/365 on every page of the website. Aside from this, no graphical ads will be allowed anywhere.
Text ads have two options:
Option 1. Advertisers may purchase ads based on impressions. The cost is $100 for 100,000 impressions.
Option 2. Advertisers may purchase click based ads. The cost is $100 for 1000 clicks to your website.
To purchase ads you first must register on our website then go to My Profile after you are logged in. There you will find the options for purchasing an ad. All ads become active as soon as payment is made. There are NO REFUNDS.
